Simona Brown as Louise
East London actress Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother lovingly raising her son Adam and working part time at a psychiatry office. Describing her character, Brown told Metro, “She’s a single mother who pours all of her life into her son to the point where she’s kind of forgotten who she is.”
You might recognize Brown from her appearance on British shows like The Little Drummer Girl and Kiss Me First, or the History channel’s 2016 remake of Roots, which also featured Bridgerton heartthrob Regé Jean-Page.

Tom Bateman as David
Tom Bateman plays David, a psychiatrist caught in a seemingly toxic marriage with his wife and an affair with his secretary, Louise. Bateman has starred in numerous Hollywood films, like Murder on the Orient Express and Snatched.
Pointing to his complicated character, Bateman said, “There’s this perception that he’s a villain but behind every bad guy is an interesting story.”

David seems to force her to take her medication in the morning. You might also know Hewson as the daughter of the legendary U2 rocker Bono.
