The Cast of Netflix’s Behind Her Eyes Finds Dark Corners of the Crime Thriller

With its latest Top 10 hit, Behind Her Eyes, Netflix enters the psychological crime thriller territory of the likes of Gone Girl, Big Little Lies, and Girl On the Train. The six-part series follows a single mother who begins an affair with her boss and a secretive friendship with his wife, winding up dangerously entangled in the couple’s web of lies. Based on Sarah Pinborough’s chilling novel, it has the familiar beats of other adaptations from recent years: A beautiful, mysterious woman with a haunted past whose true motivations are difficult to piece together, plus an unreliable narrator whose reality is punctuated by disturbing night terrors.

It’s the kind of show that makes your stomach crawl and leaves you suspended in that second-guessing feeling, wanting more but afraid of what might happen next. We won’t spoil it for you, but the story has an insane twist that you’ll have to see for yourself. For now, get to know the cast who so brilliantly brings Pinborough’s thrilling tale to life. Though they may seem unfamiliar to American viewers, you might be surprised to realize where you’ve seen them before. Here’s your guide to the cast of Behind Her Eyes.

Simona Brown as Louise

East London actress Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother lovingly raising her son Adam and working part time at a psychiatry office. Describing her character, Brown told Metro, “She’s a single mother who pours all of her life into her son to the point where she’s kind of forgotten who she is.”

You might recognize Brown from her appearance on British shows like The Little Drummer Girl and Kiss Me First, or the History channel’s 2016 remake of Roots, which also featured Bridgerton heartthrob Regé Jean-Page.
